CITY HALLS Gladstone City HallThe Gladstone City Hall renovation and addition is a multi-level storage and office building located at 7010 North Holmes Street in Gladstone, Missouri. This $800,000, 5,600 square foot addition to the facility contains administration offices and meeting rooms on the first floor while vehicle and property storage are on the lower level. Three packaged rooftop units with humidity control were added and connected to the existing energy management system. Each unit can be monitored and controlled from a central location. Modifications were made to the existing mechanical system in the City Council Chamber to ensure a greater level of comfort. In order to remain cost efficient we implemented primarily fluorescent light fixtures with dimmable incandescent task lighting in offices and meeting rooms. Due the importance of building security, exterior wall mounted metal halide fixtures were installed. Special attention was given to the lighting design in the City Council Chamber in order to achieve a decorative yet cost effective lighting scheme with dimming capability. |
