DESIGN-BUILD
Ft. Leavenworth Building 465
This 4 story, 36,000 sq. ft. project consists of a complete Mechanical and Plumbing renovation of an existing historical building at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.
The building consists of four stories of classrooms and office spaces. It includes telecomm rooms, conference rooms, break rooms and other support spaces.
The building was designed to meet the requirements of LEED Silver but achieved LEED Gold certification once completed. The building has added insulation on all of the exterior walls to create a high-performance building envelope. The HVAC needs are served by VAV air handlers with integral energy recovery wheels that serve fan powered mixing boxes. Primary heating is supplied by two gas-fired high efficiency condensing boilers. Primary cooling is supplied by two air cooled chillers. Plumbing utilizes low flow plumbing fixtures and a high efficiency direct vented water heater.
