ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Lincoln Elementary (aka: New NE Elementary)

This project was part of several renovations and additions for the Ottawa School District.  The project was performed in two phases to allow school sessions to continue.

NE Elementary is a new school for the Ottawa School District.  The HVAC system includes redundant water tube gas-fired boilers.  Adjacent to each penthouse is a direct expansion (DX) VAV rooftop unit complete with IAQ controls.  The open return air plenum allows the first stage of heat to be served from the heat of lights transferred to the ceiling plenum.

The gymnasiums were provided with a constant volume DX unit to allow for community use and the educational areas are conditioned by variable air volume DX roof top units.  The electrical systems are based on 277/480 volts serving HVAC equipment and lighting with separately derived 120/208 volt systems.  The electrical systems allow for dedicated clean power for computer loads in the classrooms.
