Liberty Fire Station #1

Liberty Fire Station #1 is located at the intersection of Prairie Street and West Mississippi Street in Liberty, Missouri.  The 2,200 square foot addition allowed the Fire Department to separate the staff living quarters from the administration offices, both of which were previously located in a single 2,500 square foot wing.  One of the unique challenges of this project was that all construction had to take place without disrupting the fire station's normal operation.

The living quarters addition includes separate men's and women's bunk rooms and showering facilities, along with a day room, weight room, and dining/kitchen area. Also added to the existing wing is a 400 square foot truck display, which is used to display an antique fire truck which is owned by the Fire Department.   Upon completion of this addition the current building was then renovated to house all of the department's administrative offices and training facilities.
