Olathe Police & Fire Station #6

This 16,000 square foot building, located in Olathe, Kansas, houses both fire and police personnel.  The apparatus garage includes four large drive-through bays. The HVAC system consists of light commercial split systems for the occupied areas and gas fired infrared heaters for the truck bays. Lighting throughout the facility is energy efficient fluorescent. Lighting for the truck bays is metal halide high bay fixtures with quartz restrike. The electrical design included the extension of the City’s emergency radio and signal system and a backup emergency generator.
