Ferrell Hall Renovation - Benedictine College

Ferrell Hall’s place in the history of Benedictine College is signified by its prominent location at the entry to the Benedictine campus. This 109-year-old building first served as a monastery for Benedictine monks, later as a residence hall for college freshmen, and then sat empty for thirty years.   Now fully restored as a residence hall for upper class students, it not only revived life at the gateway of the campus, but provides apartment and suite-style living, enabling the school to better fulfill its mission as a residential college.

The beautiful stone walls in the basement with arched openings were cleaned and left exposed.  This area serves as the new student lounge.  Comfortable furnishings and a welcoming fireplace has made this one of the most popular gathering places on campus.
