Bates County Hospital Addition and Renovation

Bates County Hospital is located in Butler, Missouri, approximately one hour south of Kansas City.  This 60,000 square foot addition and 45,000 square foot renovation provided an excellent upgrade to the existing facility.

The first floor of the addition includes a new main entrance with a circle drive and canopy, lobby, gift shop, outpatient services, surgery suite with three operating rooms and one G.I. procedures room, rehabilitation services, dining room, and much more.  The second floor accommodates 30 new private patient rooms, 4 critical care beds, and three LDRP (labor, deliver, recovery, and post-partum) rooms.

The renovated areas include administration functions, expanded emergency department, upgraded and enlarged radiology department, cardiac rehab, surgery support spaces, and a remodeled kitchen.   A new central plant utilizes chilled and hot water to cool and heat the building, new central medical gases, and domestic water softeners and heaters.
