HOTELS/RESORTS Casa de Sierra NevadaAs part of our services to Orient Express Hotels, Hoss and Brown Engineers, Inc was retained to perform a mechanical study of the seven properties that form the Casa de Sierra Nevada Hotel in San Miguel de Allende Mexico. One of the main focuses of our service was to design potable water systems. San Miguel is in the dry mountain area of central Mexico. Water is somewhat scarce and the City does not provide a constant supply of water. Our task was to size underground cisterns complete with pressurization, filtration, and sterization to provide potable drinking water throughout the properties. In addition, we are designing solar water heating systems and air conditioning systems for the properties. The air conditioning systems are variable refrigerant volume split systems capable of simultaneous heating and cooling from a central air cooled condensing unit serving multiple indoor evaporators. |
