HIGH SCHOOLS

Scott City High School

This project consists of the renovation of and addition to the existing high school.  The HVAC system is a combination of many different systems.   In the existing remodeled classrooms, a 2-pipe unit ventilator system was utilized.   Outside air was provided to the various spaces through heat recovery units which pre-condition the outside air using heat from the exhaust air system. The new gymnasium and auditorium utilize a constant volume, variable temperature system.   A fan-powered variable air volume system was used for the new classrooms, kitchen and dining facility.   All systems receive chilled and hot water from a common central plant. Ultra-violet lights were utilized for sanitation in the food prep areas.
