ProSoCo, Inc.

This project was a new manufacturing plant and corporate office for ProSoCo.  The facility was delivered through a Design/Build method and is located in Lawrence, Kansas.

The mechanical system includes product containment and drainage as well as roof-mounted, gas-fired, heating and ventilation units with outside air controls to allow for make-up air based on interior space pressure. Included is a NFPA liquid storage warehouse and dispensing area. All materials were selected to be corrosion resistant due to the nature of the product.

The electrical system includes a 277/480 service to support mechanical systems, production equipment power, and lighting. Separately derived 120/208 volt systems were provided to serve general power needs. The production floor lighting system was designed around metal halide high bay fixtures.

The HVAC system for the office includes water tube gas-fired boilers to provide heating hot water for the VAV terminal units. The office areas are conditioned by variable air volume, direct expansion roof top unit with IAQ controls.  The heating is via hot water heating coils integral to the VAV terminal units.
