RESTAURANTS Corner CaféThe Corner Café is a 7,700 square-foot family restaurant located on highway 252 in Liberty, Missouri. The exterior of the restaurant is very well lit with building-mounted and parking lot lighting to make it visible from highway 252. When you walk in the front door you will discover a waiting area that is open to a bakery and the bar area. The lighting in these areas is made to model the original Corner Café in Riverside, Missouri. Large, open seating areas for guests have cove lights around the perimeter and can lights shining down on the tables. The HVAC system is designed to control many of the common problems often found in restaurants. Large hoods exhaust huge amounts of air from the kitchen to get rid of any unwanted fumes. Specialized units are used to bring fresh outside air into the seating area and the kitchen area. Consideration was taken to keep both the customers and the employees comfortable despite completely different design environments.
