Sacred Heart Catholic Church and School

The addition to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas, was a two phase design and construction project, giving the parish both a new worship center, as well as additional classrooms for the attached school.  The church addition is a two-level, 46,600 square foot facility highlighted by a new sanctuary and gathering space on the upper floor, with parish offices and room for future expansion of the kitchen and fellowship hall on the lower level. The school addition made room for 13 new classrooms, along with a new science lab, music room and computer lab in the 27,900 square foot facility. Both additions were built to accommodate the rapidly growing congregation at Sacred Heart.
